Schools We Have Reached So Far...

Since April, 2000, Character@Heart and local supporters have made curricula and training available to over 1500 teachers and parents.  As a result, annually, over 35,000 students in more than 130 schools in 18 Alabama counties have the opportunity to develop good character needed to succeed in both school and life thanks to support from Statewide, Regional, and Local Sponsors, and Character@Heart, Inc.

NOTES: 

  1. Schools designated with 1 received training, curriculum and support needed for all the teachers in at least one grade to teach Manners of the Heart (MOH), the K-3rd grade curriculum.

  2. Schools designated with 2 received training, curriculum and support needed for all the teachers in at least one grade to teach Manners of the Heart and/or all the teachers in at least one grade to teach Building Strong Character for a Lifetime (BSC), the 4th-6th curriculum.

  3. In schools designated with 3, a counselor, rather than the classroom teachers, was provided training and support needed to teach curriculum provided by Character@Heart.

  4. Due to limited funds, schools designated with 4received training and support, but only one Manners of the Heart teaching kit.
