2006-2007 Pioneers in Character Education Award Recipients

Character@Heart held its 3rd annual Award Celebration on Friday, April 21, at which distinguished educational and community leaders were honored.  Each received a 2006-2007 Pioneer in Character Education Award for the unique “trails that have been blazed” by their outstanding support of character education.  While these groundbreakers share a common spirit of being willing to venture into uncharted territory, each one has lead in a distinctive way to promote character education.  Though their accomplishments vary, ten of the twelve recipients share a common theme in their achievements.  Building Character Today for a Better Tomorrow in Alabama’s Children has been in the hands of many capable “young carpenters”!  (Click each award below to read the inspiring story of each recipient.)
